With a strong desire to see all students receive a free, high-quality education, Norma’s contributions and leadership continue to bring positive change to our community. She works tirelessly to close the achievement gap and allow all students access to the education of their choice. She is affiliated with several organizations and interest groups and has participated in numerous trainings, both in the United States of America and Latin America, in the field of education and other related areas. She has served on numerous committees in Napa and continues to advocate at the district, county, and state level with the California Board of Education. Ms. Ortiz is pursuing a master’s degree in education with future steps to a doctorate in leadership. With a goal of being a voice for all students, she continues to promote equity and inclusion in education by removing barriers, so that all students feel successful, valued, and welcomed.
